This year, JCCM celebrated 40 years of serving our neighbors. Since 1983, we have impacted the Jefferson County community and Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia, and we wish to thank all those who have made our history of changemaking possible. Our continued success is due in part to our partnerships with over 70 agencies across Jefferson County, the Eastern Panhandle, and the state of West Virginia. Alongside our generous partners, we have worked to define what community truly means for our region.
Throughout the past year, our volunteers have reached across the region and met the needs of our neighbors with mercy and grace. As represented by our growth, our projects were supported by over 150 selfless volunteers, and our seven organizational department teams have supported thousands of individuals and families. Due to a generous donation from the City of Ranson of 1.3 acres of land and two large buildings, 13,000 square feet each, we began planning the development our new Jefferson County Community Services Center, which we have coined, “The Neighbor Project”.
As such, our steadfast goal continues to be enabling and empowering clients to become self-sufficient. Because of our faithful community support and compassionate volunteers, we have been able to support Jefferson County and the broader region with our guiding principles of unconditional acceptance, dignity, mercy, and grace for all.
