JCCM received a substantial donation from the estate of Jay and Mae Kerns.  Affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady” by the Middleway United Methodist Church, Mae was also involved with Jefferson County Community Ministries, volunteering her time and talents on behalf of our neighbors.  Mae’s wishes were that a portion of her estate be given to JCCM to continue helping those in need within our community.  We are very grateful to Mae, Jay, and the Middleway United Methodist Church.  May the Lord bless the Kerns family as we continue to spread the “Cookie Lady’s” joy and goodness.  (Pictured are Susie Nicodemus of Middleway UMC presenting check to Keith Lowry)
