Will you help us love one another?
Friends,
At Jefferson County Community Ministries (JCCM), we have passion for what we do! As a faith-based organization, this passion for the job is driven by a calling to help and a genuine regard for the well-being of the people we serve.
We call this effort “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” because to us, that’s exactly what our mission entails—inspiring our community to care about each other and engaging people to lend a hand whenever and wherever it’s needed!
Each year, JCCM serves over 1,500 clients and 500 families. The work we do is not always easy, but it is rewarding. Our staff is comprised of individuals who care deeply about our clients. As such, we often take on their physical and emotional struggles—letting them know they are not alone and working to find them long-term solutions. This remains our constant goal.
Each month, JCCM finds permanent housing for homeless clients and works to further prevent homelessness in our community. Often, our clients show gratitude for even the simplest gesture, such as food, a shower, or clean clothes to wear.
So, what is JCCM, and what do we do? We share in the success of our clients and teach them to be self-sufficient. We assess client situations and work with them to address individual needs. We work hard to improve their circumstances and to find a sense of fulfillment in their lives.
Simply put, we care for our neighbors, and strive to inspire others to do the same.
WE couldn’t do what we do without the generous support of our donors, partners, and the Jefferson County community.
As we wind down our Annual Campaign, we ask that you help share some love by:
- Making a monetary donation at https://www.jccm.us/donations/ .
- Lending a hand by volunteering. Find out more at https://www.jccm.us/volunteer/ .
- Spreading the word! Become a JCCM ambassador by sharing our news and needs with others. Click https://www.jccm.us/blog/ to start sharing.
As John 15:12 states, “Love one another, as I have loved you.”
We thank you,
Keith A. Lowry,
Executive Director, JCCM
